Probably my two most recent "favorite jsawyer changes," though, are for Dead Money. I love everything about this mod, and it plays well with Cirosan's Classic Overhaul (which is also awesome). You don't wake up at the start of the game with a bunch of armor, weapons, and drugs in nature's pocket - the Courier's Stash stuff gets spread out around the Mojave (Chet has some stuff, Sarah Weintraub has some, and I found the Armored Vault Suit and That Stupid Canteen at an appropriate location while exploring). He also gave DR to armor, re-aligned a bunch of NPCs (good/neutral/evil alignment, not faction), cut the player's carry weight and hit points (both starting and per-level), slowed experience gain, sets a level cap of 35 (it requires all the DLC), and basically does a lot of little things to make the player less god-like. Plasma projectile speed was increased overall, with the Q-35 getting a significant boost.

Most of the energy weapons had their health increased (notably, the LAER). Josh Sawyer's mod gives energy weapons a buff.

They just feels so sluggish and the sound effects and visuals never feel satisfying. I've always hated the plasma weapons to be honest.
